TAL is the owner and certified head coach of Tal Junior Tennis School located in Woodland Hills, California. Tal has been working with kids for 15 years.

OUR TEACHING METHOD

At Tal Junior Tennis kids play games against each other or as a team, rather than simply running drills where they stand in line and play the coach. Our experience has proven that kids learn best this way and have the most fun. It allows them to engage with the rules of the game and properly prepare them for matches. Our classes also create a fun environment where kids are playing and occupied the entire time, as opposed to the waiting in line.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Tal began to teach tennis 10 years ago after completing his coaching certification at Wingate Institute in Israel. After three years of instruction, Tal developed his current teaching method and opened his own tennis school for kids in Tel Aviv. Around the same time he partnered with Givati'm City Hall to create a volunteer project that provided free tennis lessons for high risk children that were expelled from school. The program was very successful. The children involved in the program were more engaged and focused at school, and very happy to discover a new activity.

In the summer of 2013, Tal partnered with the Israeli Embassy in El Salvador to create a program that would introduce tennis to El Salvador's high risk children living in gang ridden, underprivileged neighborhoods. The program involved a three week tennis summer camp for 150 kids, and served as a means to strengthen the relationship between El Salvador and Israel. The program was featured in several media publications, including four television shows, four radio shows, and two online newspapers.

After 5 years of teaching, Tal moved his tennis school to the US to his current location in Woodland Hills, servicing Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, West Hills, Tarzana, Reseda, and Encino in the San Fernando Valley.
